  • The registration fee is $165 per team and requires that you are a member of the Houstonians On Tandems Together club. The Team HOTT club's financial model compels us to make this and future club events 'members only'. The cost of membership is $40/year, making the total cost of this event $205 for non-members.

Join us for three days of riding through the beautiful rolling hills of Washington County Texas. Brenham, Chappell Hill, Burton and many other quaint, historic areas are filled with cattle ranches and beautiful farmland. Washington County is the birthplace of Texas and Brenham is the home of Blue Bell Creamery.

Brenham is 70 miles from Houston and 90 miles from Austin and a favorite area for all cyclists. Although this tandem weekend will be primarily road riding we will offer gravel ride option as well. Ride routes will vary from 25- 70 miles per day.

Brenham has a variety of restaurants, coffee shops, breweries and wineries, all rich with local flavor. Check out Visit Brenham for more details.

What you need to know:


Your registration fee for the Brenham Tandem Weekend is $165 for club members and includes three social events, BBQ lunch on Friday,

and a deli lunch and wine tasting on Saturday. Also included are facility and permit fees, scouted routes, SAG, possible law enforcement costs and miscellaneous expenses. You will be on your own for dinner during your stay.


There are many great restaurants in the area.  Routes will be posted here once they are finalized.

  • If you do not have the Ride with GPS app, please download it onto your device (smart phone or navigation device).
  • Please come with your tandem in good mechanical condition. House Of Tandems will be available for roadside mechanical assistance (SAG).
  • We have a block of rooms at the Hampton Inn and Suites. Call directly - 979-337-9898 to make a reservation. Rates $159/night plus taxes.
  • The Comfort Suites in Brenham and the Best Western in Brenham have rooms as of 10/7/2025.
  • RV sites are available at the Chappell Hill RV Park ($65/night). (Tent camping is not available at this venue). The park has blocked sites for our group. Please contact Marcia Becker to make your reservation.
  • There are several VRBO/AirBNB options in Washington County. Tent Campers may want to check at Lake Sommerville for accommodations.
  • Refunds of uncommitted funds for cancellations will be available prior to October 30th, 2025. Registration fees will not be refundable after October 30th.
