It has been a wild ride as we journey through 2020. It is encouraging to see many of you taking advantage of “this season” and are riding near home, while others have adventured to ride in secluded parts of our country.
It is with a very heavy heart that we announce that we will not be hosting the Schulenburg Tandem weekend in November 2020. We will rescheduled for November 2021. Covid-19 has interrupted tandem events across the country. As the leadership of Team HOTT we feel that rescheduling is in the best interest for the safety of our riders and their families.
However, we do have a suggestion! Make your own plans to go ride in Schulenberg! After conversations with the Chamber of Commerce of Schulenberg they are graciously welcoming visitors. The painted churches, museums, restaurants, and hotels are open and ready to serve. If you are looking for ride routes go to Team HOTT – Ride with GPS link for the routes we used last year. DISCLAIMER –these routes have not been checked recently for road construction, conditions or closures.
We are all very disappointed. This was not a decision that was easy. We are all anxious to see and ride with our old friends and eager to welcome new teams. Just think how very special it will be when we do gather and ride together again!
